Chicago facial plastic surgeon, Dr. George Moynihan is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and specializes in plastic surgery of the Face, Nose, Eyes, Neck, and Scalp. He is the founding member and medical director of Gold Coast Plastic Surgery in the heart of downtown Chicago. Dr. Moynihan is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, which includes facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. He received additional training in cosmetic surgery of the head and neck by completing a prestigious one year fellowship at the Rousso Facial Plastic Surgery Center in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr Moynihan is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and graduated magna cum laude from Villanova University. He became a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, an exclusive medical honor society, and graduated SUNY Buffalo medical school with cum laude honors. Following medical school, Dr. Moynihan completed six additional years of surgical training which focused exclusively on the head and neck. The first five years concentrated on the study of head and neck disease in the otolaryngology department at Loyola University Medical Center. He was then selected to complete a highly competitive American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship, in Birmingham, Alabama under Daniel E. Rousso MD.
